Our classroom programs are designed to meet each child at his/her own level and work towards second and third-grade academic standards. Differentiated instruction is a key component of our curriculum. Thus, most of our learning opportunities are designed to provide new challenges to each individual, regardless of his/her grade level. Project-based learning activities allow students to make choices, explore areas of interest, and study subjects in greater depth. Students often work together in groups where cooperation and collaborative teamwork are learned and encouraged.

Our curriculum is designed around an integrative theme that is woven through all subject areas throughout the year. "Thematic" instruction starts with a selection of a theme for the year, one that can capture the imagination and excitement of the students and the teacher. Content areas, state standards, and basic skills are then integrated into theme-related projects. These projects make learning more active and meaningful for the students.
