2 Liters for Science
Blue Forum is doing a Science experiment that requires 2 liter bottles, lots of them! Please bring any you may have laying around. You can leave them in the office or science room, thank you.
Friday, December 8th K, 2nd & 5th grade students will be screened for hearing acuity. If you would rather your child not participate in the screening, please contact Lisa or Merri in the office. Thank you.
Buddy lunch Exchange! On Tuesday Nov. 21st, at 11:30 “Big and Little Buddies” will be showing their appreciation for one another by bringing a personalized lunch to exchange with each other. Buddies will eat and play together. We have found this to be a fun activity that helps our students appreciate the act of giving and receiving in a special way.
Prado Day Center Donations
Tracy Owen, a former parent and liaison for the Prado Day Center is coordinating a coat drive and breakfast items donations for the homeless in our area. One item donated per family would be such a great help to the Center. Please put any items you may be donating in a box or bag labeled Prado and leave them by the office, thank you!
Parent Representative Needed!
Bellevue-Santa Fe Charter is fortunate to have our own Governing Board. The Governing Board discusses, reviews, and approves our school policies. The Governing Board is comprised of a BSFCS Administrator, a community member, two BSFCS teacher representatives, and three parent representatives. The open position of parent representative is for the remainder of the 2017-2019 term. If you find yourself drawn to the inter-workings of our school and would like to directly participate in policy development, take the following steps to join our Board!
Governing Board Candidates:
- Write a 200 word or less statement describing your qualifications and goals.
- Email the statement to Holly Warrick at email@example.com by Tuesday, November 28th. Statements will be published in the MiniBulldog on December 1st. (We’ve extended the timeframe from the original announcement.)
- Attend the December 7th Town Hall Meeting to introduce yourself and/or read your statement.
The Election for this position will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017. All BSFCS families receive one vote and are encouraged to exercise their right to participate in this selection process. Polls will be open 8:00-9:00 and 3:00-4:00 in front of the school.
