Every day at Bellevue-Santa Fe, our community members can be found working on and off campus to enhance the learning opportunities for students. Volunteers are an essential and highly valued part of our school.
Volunteering is a tradition for Bellevue. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to spend time in the classroom and work on school-related projects, thus providing them a first-hand understanding of student life.
Parents/Guardians are also directly involved in policy and decision-making. Three parents serve on the seven-member school Governing Board that oversees budget and policy decisions.
In addition, family and community members are actively involved in a wide spectrum of other committees, from fundraising to technology and strategic planning.
An outstanding way to demonstrate that you care about a child’s education is to become actively involved in their school. For this reason, we provide many different opportunities for parents and family members to volunteer at Bellevue-Santa Fe, including:
- Assisting in the classroom
- Teaching electives
- Serving lunch
- Volunteering in the garden
- Helping with the yearbook
- Driving kids to field trips
- Planning social events
- Working in SciTech
- Assisting in the Library
- Joining our Technology committee
- Getting involved in our Visual and Performing Arts program
- At home preparations for classrooms/events
The above list highlights just a few ways to get involved. If you have an idea on how you can contribute, please let us know! For more information on volunteering, click here to download our brochure. We appreciate all that our volunteers do to make Bellevue special.
