It is expected that students will attend school in appropriate attire that will allow them to:

· participate fully in the day’s activities

· focus attention on their responsibility as learners.

 

Adherence to our dress code will foster student’s self-respect and demonstrate parent and student support for our charter school’s expectations and philosophy.

 

The following guidelines will help you determine whether the clothing is functional and appropriate.

Bottom line:              Is it functional (PEACOCK, Ag-Grow, playground?)

                                      Is it appropriate (focus is on learning, not fashion)

The staff reserves the right to determine and restrict unbecoming styles.

If a student is dressed or groomed inappropriately, parents may be called to bring a change of clothes or to take the student home to change clothes. Violations of the dress guidelines will result in incremental disciplinary action.
